A new winter outfit for Evie

Evie is obsessed with wearing a "Spin-around" (in adult-speak that's a dress or skirt or anything that twirls out when you spin-around ;))

So with winter coming up and a wardrobe full of skimpy summer dresses I'm having to find some winetr Spin-Around options

I had a heap of this fabric left over from a co-op (I got all excited and bought heaps) so I found a gorgeous matching lime green spotty fabric and invented this little skirt.

There are a couple of things I will do differently next-time - not least of all not listening to google on the subject of how much to how much when gathering - I had it on good authority that 1 to 1.5 was good - no way!!!! we need it fuller!!!

Next time i'll go with 1 to 2.5 and see how we go

This is what we woke up to....

Gorgeous view of the Brisbane River and the Storey Bridge - just delicious!!!!!

We stayed at the Marriott - the Executive Lounge (we had upgrate Executive Privileges oooh la la) was soooo cool. That is definately on my list of "Things To Do....... again"

And Evie loved sprawling out in the big king bed!!

Happy Easter!!!!

Easter in the Flattery household started with chocolate pikelets with choc chips (sorry didn't get a pic) and then an easter egg hunt undertaken by the gorgeous and excited Miss Evie - good hunting little lady!!!!!!

Followed by feasting on delicious chocolate - or in the words of Evie - "mmmmmm yum mummy - i like it" and then "i like it" and "i like it"

I think she likes it ;)

Evie had a couple of her own chocolates - we put the rest away for later - and then she found mine! - and proceeded to pig out and give herself a belly ache :(

Nawwww Evie's hair

Evie was born with a FULL head of hair and she doesn't look likes she's going bald any time soon - that's a lot of hair for a 2 year old!!!

Sooooo pretty :D

Fun in the Sun

Took the Kids and Hubby to the beach and had a beautiful day in the sun - you have got to get them in now before the cold months hit!! Us Queenslanders are already starting to feel the cold - brrrrr 22 degrees the other day.

Here's my handsome eldest - Douglas is 13 this year - yes that is an age with a "teen" at the end of it :O and :(

Rod - with "Endura" product placement LOL

We don't usually swim at this beach but we had a lovely picnic then a fun play in the sand. Was a bit of a M.I.L.E.S.T.O.N.E for the Flattery family - this is the first time Evie has really touched the sand without totally freaking out!!

She "helped" big brother Simon build an awesome sand castle

Watching a bit of TV

My two youngest having a chill out in front of the TV>>>>

Evie is Little Miss Independent and won't usually cuddle for long - so Simon's pretty much in heaven here LOL - feeling like the special big brother.

My new blog - my "Me" blog

I have decided to start a blog that is removed from the business blog, a blog for me. This one will be non-nappy talk, all my crafty endeavours and the life challenges and acheivements of a SAHM of 3.

I'm not that great at talking to myself, so this is a bit of an experiment to see if I will be able to stick to it, to see if i can keep up a one-sided conversation
